School bus technicians and customers of Thomas Built Buses in May will descend upon the company's North Carolina headquarters to receive training on such topics as 2010 SCR diesel emissions systems and advanced electrical systems, and a similar event will be provided at the 2011 STN EXPO in Reno, Nev. The Thomas Built Institute returns this year with the first training scheduled for May 10-13 in High Point, N.C. In addition to SCR and multiplexing, technicians can learn more about coolant, maintenance and cost savingsĀ and receive a factory tour. Information will also be shared how to utilize Web sites, resources and wire diagrams. Participants can choose from available training on Type C multiplex, service link and troubleshooting or Type D electrical and fan drive. A second Thomas Built Institute training event will coincide with the STN EXPO in Reno, Nev., from July 26 through 28. Participants again have the chance to learn more about the SCR system, advanced electrical and coolant, maintenance and cost savings and the choice of Type C multiplex or Type D electrical. In addition, Thomas will provide an activity for technicians enrolled in the training course during the STN EXPO Trade Show on July 26. Enrollment for both events is limited to 100 participants.
