The National School Transportation Association said that its members raised $2,100 in July for the Special Olympics.

The funds were donated to the St. Louis chapter of the Special Olympics during the recent NSTA annual convention there, which took place July 24-28.  The money was collected from the participants of the "Heads and Tails" raffle during NSTA's annual awards banquet and from the sale of the old golf carts that were used during the School Bus Driver International Safety Competition.

NSTA’s social responsibility program includes this annual effort. The association collects funds for the Special Olympics chapter in the city where its Annual Meeting and Convention are held. Next year’s annual meeting and convention will be held in Baltimore, Md.
