Type A small school bus manufacturer Trans Tech Bus announced new terms of a warranty set to begin with the 2012 model year.

The company based in Warwick, N.Y., will make available to customers the TechStar 360 limited warranty for new school buses and multifunction school activity buses. The vehicles will be covered for three years or 60,000 miles/96,560 km with zero deductible from the original in-service date. Trans Tech called the warranty a milestone and "best in class" for the small school bus segment.

Trans Tech added that the coverage is limited to warrantable repairs required as a result of defects due to material and/or workmanship to the body conversion components and advised that customers should refer to the company's written warranty policy for exclusions and limitations.
